McDonalds Cosplay!!

 

I'm not alone in my fear of clowns but it's doubtful anyone would have such problems if they were all this cute! It's a gender swap of Ronald McDonald the famous McDonalds mascot, possibly inspired by the Japanese TV advert a few years back for the "Tomato McGrand".

Makes me want a happy meal...

Unknown - Jiraiya from Naruto

   

Jiraiya the Toad Sage is one of the 3 legendary sannin, and author of the popular adult book series - icha icha. He trains Naruto and teaches him the frog summoning technique. Being one of the sannin Jiraiya is a high level ninja, but his self-confessed weakness is women.

I had told myself I wouldn't post another Naurto cosplay for a while, but this one is too awesome. Cosplayer is unknown.

Katy - Nyu/Lucy from Elfen Lied

 

After previously featuring a nyu/lucy cosplay I found another I love.

Katy - the blood effects are really cool but kinda creepy since it looks quite realistic. The wig is also looks pretty and soft.

AmyLeeJim - Deidara from Naruto

Deidara is a member of the Akatsuki who considers his explosive ninjutsu techniques to be art.

AmyLeeJim I love the use of contacts in cosplay, the blue contacts give a sort of anime/manga effect. And the mouths on the hands are pretty cool, often they're photoshopped in, but here the look like they've been drawn in.

Akamaru from Naruto

Akamaru is Kiba's ninja dog companion and childhood friend. After the Pakkun post I wanted to find an Akamaru cosplay, and found this photo here. This child is just so adorable I had to post it.

Left for Dead

Left for Dead is a zombie apocalypse 1st person shooter.

I love this tank cosplay, they're not the most common to see and this one is awesome. It looks like it took a lot of work, and is probably quite uncomfortable to wear around a con.

 Cosplay for a cause is 2012 cosplay calander set up by a group of cosplayers to raise money for the Japanese Red Cross society following the March 2011's disaster.

~Jesus~ : Light Yagami from Death Note

Light Yagami is a genius student bored with his life who find a death note dropped by a shinigami. When a name is written in it that person will die. With this Light sets out to change the world by punishing criminals, but it's not long before he starts to meet obstacles. Light's character is a very intelligent with a cool exterior, but he won't stop at anything to see his goals achieved.

~Jesus~ I've seen a lot of Light cosplays but this is my favourite. The clothes, hair and lighting are all excellent, but the best part is the facial expression, it just really suits the character and makes it such an effective cosplay.

Pakkun from Naruto

Pakkun is the smallest of Kakashi's ninja dogs:

"If you succeed in this mission, I'll let you touch my paw"

I found this a while back so I'm not sure where it's originally from. I don't particularly like dogs, but this is making me consider getting one. Next time I visit my cousin I'm so dressing her pug up as Pakkun.

SALT - Lucy/Nyu from Elfen Lied

 

Elfen Lied is a rather bloody anime and manga about Lucy a "diclonius" meaning she has invisible arms called vectors, who's hatred for mankind leads her to seek vengence. Whilst escaping from the lab where she was held captive she is injured a split personality - the childlike and innocent Nyu is born.

SALT portrays both Nyu's sweetness and Lucy's cold stare. The diclonius horns are my favourite as they avoid looking like dodgey cat ears. It's a really cute cosplay.

A Little Thing Called Cosplay ... and Pokemon Black/White

Hello all!

As the title would suggest this is a blog dedicated to cosplay, love it or hate it (and I most certainly love it) it's an increasingly popular hobby for all us otaku, fangirls/boys and general anime lovers out there.

So my mission is to extend my horizon beyond the fabulous Kipi and Alodia to discover the best out there!

I'm beginning with a short post on the latest Pokemon games Black/White since I've been playing them a lot since finishing exams.

Female Lead 

The female playable character named Touko トウコ in the Japanese version of Pokemon Black and White. Touko is a young pokemon trainer from Nuvema Town.

It may be quite a simple costume but this cosplayer sure does it well, the attention to detail is excellent, she's even got the same coloured shoelaces!

Elesa / Kamitsure

Elesa (Kamitsure in the Japanese) is the gym leader of Nimbasa City and model nicknamed "The Shining Beauty". She specialises in electric type pokemon.
